Gelegen ist das Haus ruhig und etwas abseits, das Meer ist bei schönem Wetter in Sichtweite, ein herrlicher Dünenstrand und ein drei Kilometer langer Sandstrand sind nicht weit entfernt (1,5 bzw. 4 km), Einkaufsmöglichkeiten je nach Ladengröße in 1,5 – 13 km. Möglichkeiten zum Wandern, Fahrradfahren, Wellen- und Windsurfen, Kanufahren, Hochseefischen, Reiten und Golfen (9-Loch) gibt es in nächster Umgebung. Für Tagesausflüge bieten sich unter anderem das reizvolle Gebiet Connemaras mit seinen Bergen und dem schönen Connemara National Park, eine Bootstour nach Clare Island, die Sengegend von L. Mask und L. Corrib, der Croagh Patrick, der heilige Berg Irlands, die archeologischen Ausgrabungen der Ceide Fields oder die Wollmühlen von Foxford an.

the house is located in an peaceful area and a little bit from the ocean. You can see the sea from the kitchen windows or from the front terrace. It is a beautiful beach with dunes and it s about 3 1/2 km long. The beaches are about 1.5 and 4 km from the house away. You can find Shopping areas on the Isalnd; but they are not really big. You might go to Castlebare or Westport if you want to go on bigger shopping tours. You can go on walks, riding the bicycle, wind surfing and surfing, canoeing, sea-angling, horseback riding, playing golf, and much more on the Island.
If you want to go on a day trip, you can go to Connemaras with its mountains and the really beautiful Connemaras National Park, a boat trip to Clare Island, the Croagh Patrick, the holy mountain of Ireland,...... .
